It’s been about a month now that I have been living in my new house.  I will say that when I first moved in, I didn’t like being away from my parents.  It is rather odd that I felt that way considering if I was at home I didn’t really do much with them, I spent most of my time in by bedroom by myself.  For those that didn’t know, I now live in Linden rather than Salladasburg.  My brother was offered a chance to house sit for a couple for about two years and he was able to get me to move in too.  It is a big change for me being away from home.  First off all, I have to cook my own food.  I’m still getting used to that idea.  I discovered last night that I need to keep more snacky food on hand.  Reason being I don’t want to be using the grill at midnight.  It’s pretty bad when you need a flashlight to check and see if your burger is finished yet.  The second major change has been doing my own laundry.  Granted I had done laundry a few time while I lived at home, but now it is all me.  The third major change is just in general keeping the house clean.  It’s amazing how dirty a place can get in such a short amount of time.

All in all, after a month, I would say that I’m used the the routine of living on my own.  It makes me wish that Jeff, Brett, Corey, and I would have put more effort into getting an apartment together for our entire college career.  It would have been a blast living with my friends for the past 4 years.  If I could go back, I would have pushed us more toward that goal.
