new laptop

I just got my new laptop from work and quite honestly I am a little disappointed with it. It is a pretty beefy computer according to specs, but for some reason, it is painfully slow to start up. I also thought the two video cards would be a cool thing….however I’m not really seeing a point to it anymore. I haven’t tried gaming yet with the nvidia card, but it only has a dedicated 64 mb video ram, which, even though it is directx 10, I doubt it would really matter that much. So, like I said, I’m not sure the point of having the two cards anymore, even thought I initially thought it was a good idea. When I threw the switch and rebooted, the battery live about doubled (time remaining that is). I still do want to try gaming on it a little bit, I mean a 2.4 GHz core 2 duo with 2 gb ram…that’s gotta do pretty good…I would think anyway. Then again, it is running vista business, so I’m a little torn on how the performance would be affected because of that.
